It was under the leadership of Supt. Aaron A. Brown, that Timothy received his call to the ministry.  When Timothy informed his pastor of this divine call, Supt. Brown looked at him as said, “I already knew, I was just waiting for you to tell me.”  In August of 1997 Timothy was ordained a minister at the Pentecostal Temple C.O.G.I.C.  As a minister he continued to faithfully serve and honor his leader.  In 2008, he was recommended for ordination and on September 27, 2008 during the Fourth Saturday Conference, Minister Timothy Scantlebury was ordained an elder in the Church Of God In Christ under the leadership of the jurisdictional prelate, the Bishop James Gaylord.  Five years later on August 22, 2015, the Bishop James Gaylord installed Elder Timothy O’Neal Scantlebury as pastor of the Pentecostal Temple C.O.G.I.C.  Brooklyn, NY 11207.

Throughout Elder Scantlebury life he has done his best to serve in every area that God’s favor allowed.   Currently at the jurisdictional level he is the vice-president of the youth department and the chairman of finance.  A few of his accomplishments include receiving Bachelors in Economics from Hunter College in 2003 and being the 2004 Valedictorian of the Otha Miema Kelly Religious Training Institute.  Most recently Pastor Scantlebury was the winner of the 2018 Voices of Gospel Music Awards for Pastor of the Year.  Within his professional accomplishment, Elder Scantlebury was favored by God to work for JPMorgan Chase bank for twelve years where he was a branch manager.   He currently is a portfolio controller for an extensive property management company in Brooklyn, NY.

Last but definitely not least, Elder Scantlebury has been married for fifteen years to the beautiful, Evangelist Saudia Scantlebury, who he loves dearly and encourages him in every endeavor. They are the parents of four lovely children Hannah, Jordan, Naomi and Elijah.  Above all Elder Scantlebury is saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost.
